Tough Times Persist, But Our Resolve Must Remain Strong
12 months of uncertainty, 12 months of adversity, and 12 of the most challenging months we might ever face. Tough times persist, but our resolve must remain strong. This will not last forever.
On March 23, 2020, the UK was officially put into lockdown. One year on and we are in our third lockdown, as the pandemic continues to provide a challenge we have never faced before.
The world as we knew it before has seemingly disappeared, no longer can we essentially live freely as we used to. Many of us have not seen loved ones and friends for far too long. This has created a hole in people's lives and it is not something that can just be covered over. That connection with other people is sorely missed by us all.
Some days you might have woken up and found it hard to smile. Some days you might have woken up and not wanted to do anything. In many ways, the world has been short of positivity and motivation, as countless lives have been lost, the lives of friends, family, and loved ones.
Special occasions such as weddings, birthday parties, and graduations have all been halted and not experienced by those it was once promised to. Those special moments that life has to offer have been missed out on, leaving nothing but a gap in the lives of many people. We live life to experience the wonders that are promised ahead, but the world has stripped us of that for a long time now.
But don't lose hope, because sometimes hope is all we have. Hope is all we need because it is the one thing that cannot be taken away, otherwise, there would be no tomorrow we can look forward to.
If you can hold onto hope then you will be able to find that loose strain of positivity. That loose strain can become a new lease of life, by using that you will be able to lift yourself to new heights that your mentality can create more positivity.
Tough times persist, but our resolve must remain strong. Together we will get through this situation and see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Nothing lasts forever and this will not. Better days are ahead.
